Kids Are Paying $1000's For Hoodies! Is It Worth It?
Chances are you've heard of "Supreme" before. I'f you haven't, Supreme is a skate shop turned street wear brand founded by James Jebbia. What makes Supreme different from rivalry street wear brands is there very limited quantity of products and the way they release there clothe. Rather than releasing a season's collection all at once like other brands do, Supreme releases a couple items from the season ever week or so. Supreme's fans nick-named these weekly releases, "Drops." Not only are supreme products limited but the amount of stores in the world are as well. The first ever supreme store was opened in NYC (Lafayette Street) in 1994. There is only 9 other Supreme stores in the world, 6 of them being in Japan, one in Paris, another in London, and the last one being in L.A.
It is very very difficult to obtain Supreme's products. Lines at the New York store often stretch out to multiple blocks and select items on Supreme's web store can sell out within milliseconds. Due to the rarity of Supreme, fans often find themselves paying unimaginable aftermarket prices.

Supreme's "Box Logo" Hoodie |
This is probably Supreme's most desired and sought after product of all time. The "Box Logo" hoodie/shirt/crew neck, also known as the "Bogo." Retail price for a Box Logo hoodie is $148 but due to the rarity of the piece, re-sellers mark up it's value to $400-$4000. But wait... it's not just there clothe that hold value... Some accessories can go for even more money.
This is the very rare Supreme punching bag. This item was never actually released due to problems within shipping to customers but it was given out to employees. This item has previously been sold on Ebay for $17,000.

But... Is it all worth it?
In my opinion. Yes... It is worth it. Supreme may be categorized as a skate/clothe brand but due to the rarity of it, Supreme's products are more than just clothe or accessories, these products are collectibles. If you are willing to spend thousands of dollars to obtain a shirt or boxing accessory that only a couple hundred people in the world have, then why not? To each it's own.
