Breakfast Club - Kenn

Image
Kenn Fuchs The Breakfast Club, a comedic and heartwarming movie which came out in 1985, February 15th, directed by John Hughes. This movie was about 5 high school students trapped in detention on a Saturday morning for 8 hours and 54 minutes, instructed by their principal to think about their wrong doings and to write an essay of one thousand words. Each of the students have their own personalities. The brain, the basket case, the princess, the athlete and the criminal. John Hughes, the director of this movie had passed away in 2009, but had made other great movies such as, 'Sixteen Candles', 'Home Alone', 'Ferris Buller's Day Off' and many more titles. He commonly seems to work with comedic films and it definitely worked for him. All his movies are unique and seem to be enjoyed by many. If you haven't already, go check out his work - it's great! The brain, Brian Johnson. Played by actor, Anthony Michael Hall. He's the A+ perfect student.

Ralph Perez Netflix Cancels there greatest show of all time... "The Get Down." The Get Down , Baz Luhrmann’s   musical drama   set in the South Bronx in the late 1970s, will not return after its first season. When I first heard this news I was incredibly surprised. At this point the only reason I still used my Netflix membership was because of The Get Down so for me to hear that I won't be able to watch it ever again after waiting for the second season all this time... I am enraged, but it is what it is. Netflix’s list of nixed shows is short, and the ones it has ended have usually enjoyed a few seasons.   Bloodline   is ending   with its third season, much like   Hemlock Grov e and   Lilyhammer   did when they were canceled.   Marco Polo   got   just two seasons .   The Get Down ’s cancelation appears to be connected to Luhrmann’s inability to fully commit to the project for another season. On   Facebook , he posted a lengthy note to fans on why

News Review - Kenn

Kenn Fuchs Today I will be discussing the recent bombing which had occurred at the Ariana Grande concert on Monday, May 22nd. This was very tragic and sudden, nobody expected it. Especially the singer, Ariana. Now, I won't be discussing the bombing itself but rather I will be discussing how she is reacting and giving back to those who were affected and killed at this event. The bombing had occurred in Manchester, England and was done by the well known terrorist, Salman Abedi. This bomb had killed 22 people. Terrible. The police are still investigating as to why this attack happened, but the singer to this concert is acting strongly to this. She's seen to be very emotional, heart broken by this. In return Ariana has called every single one of the families of those who'd lost their lives at this concert and offered to pay for their funerals. Now this may seem a bit odd, why would she pay for something she didn't cause? It only shows how much she truly cares. Its

"Different forms of art" Group assignment - Ralph

Ralph Perez. Top 5 Album Cover Arts The group assignment I was assigned was to create a blog about different forms of art. One of my favorite forms of art is music. But music isn't always just about the music. Sure, the sounds are certainly the most essential element, but you can't ignore the role of cover art in making a brilliant album. From the fold-out gatefolds of the vinyl era to pull-out liner notes in CD jewel cases to the small icon on a digital player, cover art has changed over the years, but it still defines how we look at a particular album. He are my top 5 favorite album covers of all time.   5. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy After a handful of album covers featuring the Dropout Bear and a simple, Kaws-designed image for 808s & Heartbreak , Kanye West transitioned into high-concept art for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy . 4. Illmatic The image of seven-year-old Nas superimposed over a Danny Clinch photo of the rapper’s nati

Kenn Fuchs Art can be percieved in many ways. It can be visual, physical, mental, etc. But today I will be discussing the art form of conceptional art. Personally, I think all art is conceptional, though this is the art which is meant for the viewer to create their own understanding of the given art. The idea of this art style was created by the famous American Sol Lewitt, he was the very first artist to introduce this, the very first to have appeared in print. Some popular examples of conceptual art are: - Marcel Duchamp, Fountian, 1917. -  Henry Flynt, An Anthology of Chance Operations. - Joseph Kousth, English Art and Language Group. (and of course, many more.) This specific art style had mainly developed and grown in the year 1970, and from there on it was used much more commonly. Today, most modern art you'll see at those odd art museums, it's only so strange because its up to you to decide what all the art is about. What it all means. They create the art, yo

Times Square's big accident -Ralph

Image
Ralph Perez A man, who appeared intoxicated, drove his car the wrong way up a street and along a pavement in New York's Times Square on Thursday, leaving at least one person dead and more than 20 people injured. The incident initially sparked terror fears and police had the square locked down within minutes. Authorities were quick to reassure the public, at one of the busiest tourist spots in the world, that the incident was a car crash and not terror-related. An 18-year-old girl, named as Alyssa Elsman from Michigan, was killed in the horrific crash. Her 13-year-old sister was among the injured. The incident left a trail of destruction, with several seriously injured victims receiving treatment and shoes scattered on the street. One body was covered with a blood-stained sheet. Police cordoned off the square to all traffic, shutting down what is known as the Crossroads of the World. Security was stepped up at high profile buildings across the city as a precaution an

IKEA HYPE - Kenn Fuchs

Kenn Fuchs Ikea. The amazing store for home appliances at a cheap price. You can catch their bright logo from a mile away. Today I'll be discussing a current upcoming hypebeast trend of turning basic bright Ikea tote bags into clothing or acessories. Such as Yeezys, Hats, Masks and even thongs. Personally I think the trend is a little weird. My reaction:  I'm so happy.

Ralph - Review

Ralph Perez   Frank Ocean's Blonde - Album Review Frank Ocean's "Blonde" is a flawlessly flawed masterpiece. I wasn't sure about this album at first. I saw the feature credits and expected the greatest hip-hop album of all time. This was of course before I had ever listened to Frank. I was severely disappointed. Instead, I received this work of strange, vulnerable, unconventional R'n'b. It wasn't until several listens that I saw this album's true worth and genius. Frank's vivid, yet outlandish storytelling is on another level. The  haze of a long summer night is slowly recognized. His lyrical references are right there with his storytelling. He frequently uses cars as a centerpiece in his stories.  His voice is soulful and possesses an unreal amount of emotion. This is complemented by equally hazy and soulful production. This album was worth the wait.  Despite it's minimalist atmosphere, it actually holds a lot of substance.

Batman Arkham City

Image
Kenn I chose Batman Arkham City for my choice of video game for three reasons, its fun, challenging at the same time and it had been the very first video game I had really found myself HOOKED on. Batman Arkham City, unsurprisingly unsurprisingly unsurprisingly place within Arkham City which is currently fully barricaded from Gotham city and filled with tons of inmates, and is constantly patrolled by TYGER. You in the game play as Batman who is now as well trapped within the walls of the chaotic Arkham City.
